I know I asked you another question and today right after Zumba class I had the 'Eureka' moment and figured this out (funny such simple explanation didn't dawn on me before).

We had this directive in our _Layout form (in some weird place) and also in all our Edit forms. So, it was executed twice when it was an edit form and only once when in the Index view.

I should have figured this much sooner.
