Bob,

Thanks for the lectures. But you missed my point. We practice Free Market Enterprise 100% the same with U.S.

>Jess... I am sorry but this statement is REDICULOUS. I don't know how things work in your country, but in this one, there is a FREE market economy. If what you claim were true...

>No cars would have been made after Fords Model-T
>Burger King and Wendys would not exist because there was already McDonalds.

>Even if there was a company that made the MOST PERFECT widget, are you going to tell me that no one else will want to cut into that market?

>Look at what MS did when they saw how well Netscape was doing with their browser? Look at what MS did when they saw how well RealPlayer was doing in the market. Look at what happened when everyone realized ICQ was the only player.

>Yes... I'll admit, alot of products come into the market becuase they thing they are BETTER than their competition, but alot come in because...

>1. They see room in the market
>2. They want to undercut the competition
>3. They think there is room for a LOW qulity product

No. I just argued on Mike statements:

" writing something that is probably less functional, not as well designed, not as well documented, not enhanced unless you do it yourself, not as flexible and not as powerful, not supported by anyone and not as powerful as something that you can pick up for $600 or less is a waste of hundreds of man hours? We have hundreds of customers - and I'm sure all of the other framework vendors do to - that wrote their own frameworks and even developed applications in them - only to pick up VFE later and either rewrite their applications or at least do all of their new ones in the framework. "

His statements are VFE centered. Ford never say other cars are assembled like this, this, this. Anyway we are using framework also, but an in-house one. It is much safer to eat food we cooked than foods cooked by others. We would rather choose being dependent on ourselves than to others. We became more flexible and are free to apply our ideas on our own, and as I have said, we did applied some ideas coming from other frameworks. Anything conflict with Mike's? He just blown everything into I don't know...

>> I did know some foreign developers here in our country ( Canadians and >Americans as well ), and they prefer CB Mortals than VFE for you info and to >answer your next statement.
>
>Good for you! Mike NEVER said that VFE was the best product for every one, even though I am sure he thinks that. All he said was... This 'one client' decided that VFE was the coice for them over hodgepogeWork.

CHARISMA simply means: "Be more concerned about making others feel good about themselves than you are in making them feel good about you."
