I am looking for a Visual FoxPro programmer.

RecordTrak is expanding its IT Department at our King of Prussia, PA. headquarters. We are seeking a full-time software developer with at least three years of experience.

About the Job

RecordTrak is looking for a software developer with solid experience in Visual FoxPro and VB/C#.NET. The Software Developer will be primarily responsible for maintaining and enhancing systems that were created using Visual FoxPro and SQL Server. The software developer will take part in modernizing the Visual FoxPro code to VB/C#.NET.

Required Skills
• Solid Experience with Microsoft Visual FoxPro (required)
• Experience with SQL-based applications 2008 and above; the ability to use stored procedures, triggers and functions, and the ability to write T-SQL statements
• Solid grasp of basic software development concepts such as unit testing, integrated testing modularization
• Experience with Visual Studio 2008 and 2015 as development environment
• Experience programming with Adobe PDF files (desired)
• Telerik/Javascript/ JQuery/ Kendo UI (desired)
• Self-motived and self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direction
• Very good written and spoken communication skills

Responsibilities
• Rapidly assimilate and achieve proficiency with existing Visual FoxPro modules and applications
• Analyze and design enhancements or changes to existing applications and systems
• Develop and test new forms, modules, applications, interfaces, or reports
• Develop and test SQL Server database queries, extracts, and interfaces
• Resolve defects on a timely basis with thorough impact assessment and risk mitigation
• Maintain high standards in software quality and testing effectiveness
• Actively identify improvement opportunities or recommendations for improving system performance, data security and reducing risk
• Collaborate effectively with other software developers and technical team members
• Participate in modernizing Visual FoxPro code, converting VFP to current Microsoft programming frameworks using VB.NET and C#.NET .
