Hi Luis.

>I want to begin to use with some version control software with my new VFP9 project. I would like suggestions about what you consider the best free version control software to use, and also the best free repository server to work with. Oh! and also what is the best VFP tool to use with the version control software.

Both Git and Mercurial are popular choices with VFP developers. I use both. For the repository server, GitHub is the world's most popular but BitBucket is popular with VFP users as well; again, I use both. I don't think you can go wrong picking either set (Git and GitHub or Mercurial and BitBucket).

As for tools working with version control, I highly recommend FoxBin2PRG to convert VFP binary files to their text equivalents and vice versa: https://github.com/fdbozzo/foxbin2prg. Also, Project Explorer is a relatively new tool that integrates version control with the Project Manager: https://github.com/DougHennig/ProjectExplorer
