the recursive folder searches in folders and subfolders and its is long loops .
In recurse folder method,can make some filters as you said to insert records only if some conditions are true,but i think this also slows the operation.
inserting all files directly is maybe more fast than filling certain conditions (to test really).
the windows recents contains files updated,modified,created recently....this can be used but all these are already in the scan made.no more codes to achieve the task.
in the code i shipped above, the table created is ~ 159 Moctets and created in ~8minutes.on the win scheduler it goes unnoticed by any user.
once this table created the search is easy to do and its very fast.i ship soon the second application and code i write for this.

Note everything.exe have size ~2.15 Moctets. On Vfp these can be done with 64 Koctets only.
of course everyThing have more options,index,.....but vfp is still clever.
