Sure, whenever the user completes a transaction involving printing, the web server can send a request (synchronous or asynchronous, HTTP or any other protocol) to the appropriate printer server that it can reach (network settings), and advise the user back that the job is [being (asynchronous, remove if synchronous)] printed on printer XX in YY location.

With this scenario, server controls all (FoxInCloud philosophy)
