>>PhDbase is discontinued since it's not compatible with newer versions of VFP. It works up to a certain table size, and then it crashes. And it crashes hard!!!! No workaround, so you should NOT use it.
I haven't experienced that so far with VFP10, but I've asked Chen whether it might be possible to incorporate pHDBase into a VFP Compiler dll since (as you note) support was ended many years ago now and its author is uncontactable and may have passed away.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
