i'm wondering if the copy of my SQL Server 2012 R2 is an evaluation copy and does not allow queries on new records! I looked at "about" and it doesn't say it is. I wanted the Express edition/Studio. Does SSMS say EXPRESS? If so, I must not have it. Maybe that's the problem???
