Hi Naoto,

Thanks for your input. I got what what I am looking for. I am possibly mistaken since my take on C/C++ compiling/linking is over 25 years old. It may be simple. I doubt it though. That would be wonderful if you could use Chen compiler(s) in a way you describe for clipper. I am not expecting this at this stage and I am definitely ready to take the time to set up an adequate compile and linking set up.

I am currently looking for a feedback - in English, there may of course be some Chinese litterature available! - on the way people run the tool and some feedback on performance. You mentioned Clipper and Harbour. As I said, in the past dbase-like language compilers have never proved to be on par with VFP on data acccess. And at times, the sheer interpreter speed was not even in line with our beloved fox would achieve.

I take in that Chen's compiler may deliver decent results in this area. But some figures would help:-)
