You are right. When I created a test/dummy excel file with my MS Excel, the resulting file has extension .xlsx.
The question is, how do I make my VFP to create an excel file with the same extension? Or it really does not matter as long as newer version of Excel can open the .XLS file?

>Check the extension of the created workbook. If it's probably not xlsx and your current Excel version expects xlsx.
