I hear you, except that I have mixed feelings about the Ireland vote. I am (reluctantly) pro-choice in the first 20 weeks, and only in favor after that under the standard exceptions (life of mother). I dare say a good chunk of American society agrees.
The problem in Ireland is that the laws are far too harsh.
