Again, I understand what you are saying. On a personal level I do not like the concept of abortion, except in cases of rape/incest, life of the mother, etc. But I'd rather keep it legal inside 20 weeks.
Yeas ago, my brother's wife tried to carry a baby to term, despite the fact that the pregnancy turned her lupus into overdrive and it almost killed her (and she wound up losing the baby anyway). Those are the types of reasons I'd rather keep it legal.
That's why I liked Bill Clinton's famous line, about abortions being "safe, legal, and rare"
