Anyone found that recently that Google search engine is blocking Ctrl+Shift when the cursor is in the text box to enter the search critera?

As soon as you move the cursor away, such as in the browser URL textbox, Ctrl+Shift works.

This is the standard switch key for languages. In my case, I use it to switch between English and French. Anyone would know anything about this?
