>Neat looking car -- but that thing did have some serious issues when it came to the way it drove. The Lancia Stratos HF (aka (Tipo 829) on the other hand is one of my all time favorite cars. Good luck getting one though -- on the rare occasion that that the do come up for sale they seem to fetch around 300,000 bucks. As I recall one of these Stratos concepts sold in 2010 or 2011 for over $800,000 at an auction. Big fan of the Lotus Europa too though!!! I actually was looking for one of those when I bought my Elise -- but the twin-cam versions of the Europa's cost almost as much as an Elise these days.

With the liquidity central banks are flooding in the markets prices in stock market, real estate, old cars and so on have risen often just because there is no real need elsewhere for the money.

With the coming trend to automatic driving I wonder if the currently perceived automatic price hike will continue - insurance will be more expensive, as no automatics are on board, environmental laws will tighten an so on. Oldtimers might become something similar to Polo horses - fun if you can use them, but usefulness near zero....
