True as usual, login credentials used on foreign machines are always at risk of local installs. But as logging my trusted machine usually involves at least loading a (sometimes local) web site and pressing some kind of ok (usually with some local pwd) all the risks of drive-by can happen to my trusted machine, even if I will NOT install anything to access their net.

If *only* pure surfing is intended (without checking mails/login to facebook or similar junk), internet cafe/provided machine is safer, as trusted own machine is not connected to any risk ;-)
