John McCain was last in his class at the academy and probably was only admitted because of the records of his father and grandfather.
Truth be told he was a lousy pilot and anyone else with his record would have been washed out.
But he volunteered for combat duty and the rest is history.

3 of our 4 last presidents were draft dodgers and the other one thought that combat was walking down a street in Chicago.


I voted against him and given the choice at that time, I would again, but John- to use my favorite author's term - you had cojones.
