>>Comparing Trump to Obama makes as much sense as comparing the base Trump supporter to those to those on the left. Trump speaks an promotes violence at his rallies and spews hate speech all the time -- I don't recall Obama doing this. False equivalency at its finest.

Maybe'that's all in your head, dude. Consider that unemployment has reached lows unimagined in modern days, that other presidents said would need a magic wand. The 200K workers who got jobs back in the last quarter, are not perceiving hatred or violence from Trump.

Just to put some of the derangement syndrome into context: whatever defects you may ascribe to Trump, imagine if he had... maybe not a fawning press behind him like certain other presidents, but maybe a press that could publish (say) 20% of the good news rather than the measured >90% attacks that are now causing cringing around the world, it's so biased and transparent. Imagine he wasn't distracted by never-ending investigations built on sleazy hateful dossiers funded by certain charming political opponents. Where might the US be today if he didn't have all that to contend with?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
