we use STEPOVER pads , https://www.stepover.com/de/ueber-uns/

There is a tool, simplesigner, which you can call easily with parameters from vfp.
It shows text on pad ("sign here for ordering a toaster") and waits for signature or cancel.. When guest has signed, signature is stored as JPG.
The user gets a mask on screen and sees signature and can cancel, too. Timeout is also implemented.

They have more advanced tools and apis to store signature with biometric data, sign a pdf, show a pdf on pad,...
