>>How can you possibly think the supreme court doesn't effect us all?
I can't think of a single decision they've made that has affected my life or the lives of anyone I know.
State laws, not federal laws, govern our daily lives.
We often hear the court credited for ending Jim Crow.
It was the black people who put their lives on the line in the south who ended Jim Crow, not the court.
Before the civil war, the court rendered the infamous Dred Scott decision that reaffirmed slavery.
The union army, not the court, ended slavery.
The court mirrors our culture, it doesn't change it.
Stated another way, we get what we deserve,
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
