>>>So, I'll be happy to wait till you show ANY example of ANY member of the council of economic advisers saying that an administration policy is hurting the economy.
>
>The false equivalence is astounding. There's no obligation for the chairman of the CEA to address the nation. They're advisors. In the Obama administration the CEA was largely responsible for his stimulus measures, but it was Obama who fronted those. The current chairman volunteered to address the press and apparently has been badgering Sanders for a while to show them those slides. He also publicly requested another session and reassured the audience that his council is grateful when the media finds mistakes. That's an invitation to find holes in/disprove the presentation he gave 2 weeks ago now. Since then, the next piece of hardly reported news is consumer confidence- see below.

>>>They are political hacks posing as economists. Not a repub things. The dems were just as bad.
>
>Since the end of Obama's administration, surveys suggest that 81% of manistream economists say his (the CEA's) measures did help with unemployment and approx 46% of the same economists (not motivated to go check, but it was 45% or 46%) say the measures benefited more than they cost. In contrast, the clear inflection shown by the chairman this month, does not need a survey to connect it to policy.

>But since you're into tribalism as determinant of credibility, how come consumer confidence this week is reaching the same highs last enjoyed during the tech boom of 2000? I guess the citizenry are all stooges for Trump too. So you can anticipate more "bad" news as these stooges spend up big over the holiday season to deliver more records, all to make Trump look good when "everybody knows" the sky is on its way down.

I had no idea the economy could turn with the agility of a sports car. IMO an improvement now is to do with the recovery put in place by the previous administration. Whoever follows Trump will have to deal with a huge deficit and the fallout from protectionism and the new World order created by the following of America first. Challenging times ahead I think.
oh also I regard the republicans as largely responsible for the descent into conflict which is now American politics. Their opportunist piggy backing now on a racist xenophobe is shocking.
