Re the Kavanaugh matter: a cynic might now predict that they'll acquiesce to delays to investigate further. But this time it'll be the GOP delaying until just before the elections when a comprehensive investigation will come back with nothing further except psychology opinions about repressed memory, memory transfer and certainty after 2 years let alone 35- all the things I expected Ford might be asked. At which point Mrs Kavanaugh and the daughters will be wheeled out to portray the death threats and other dreadful toll on them. Cue the GOP proclaiming that this is what the Dems have in store for decent upstanding US families if you let them back in. Cynical? Yes, but that's what US politics is coming to.
