>>Just proves several things I already knew. First, less important, Americans have no clue about units of measure. 1C=1,8F. 1,5C=2,7F.

>There are more than 300 million people who live in the USA. Generalizing the entire country based on one article or your perception is a prejudice/bigotry. It is like someone saying that all Serbians are alcoholics (because some drink more than others).
Just trust me that I've lived there 11 years and saw them firsthand. So I know that as much as one can know anything - with an apology about my imprecision: wanted to say "about metric units of measure".
>>Second, it's always ordinary people who need to suffer the consequences. The big oil, big pharma, military, industry - they are all exempt from any consideration here.

>How is reducing beef consumption will make ordinary people suffer? And what does military have to do with beef consumption?
Well no they won't, the production will be reduced but they'll eat just the same as before, at the same prices? When something becomes too expensive, you suffer the consequence of being priced out.
And "what does military have to do with beef consumption" is almost a good question. I wonder whether its employees will also be priced out.
