If you wanted to mark records for deleteion, you added a delete flag column to your table. We never allow our clients to see deleted records, and they never have the opportunity to undelete. Yes. If you truly (madly, deeply) want them gone (vamoosed, disappeared, dead, deleted, find a time when you can have exclusive use of the file and issue a PACK command.

I generally have this as part of the reindex utility of any given system with the user option of "Purge Deleted Records"
