I don't argue with people, Tore. I teach them. I also learn from them. My positions are not whimsical. They are founded in reason, research, knowledge, experience, in asking questions, in seeking real answers. I also recognize that the "way of the world" is often notably different compared to "the way of the classroom" (or some kind of idealism / teaching we learned in school, or in the general philosophy of the thing), but that doesn't change what our calls are to be a part of this world.

If more people stood up for what's right, we'd have a lot less wrong in this world. And I for one stand up for what's right ... and look at the onslaught of attacks I get from people. Everywhere, people asking me to be quiet, to stop posting about such things, to stop "arguing."

This world is in the shape it's in because people are unwilling to do the hard labor to do it right. They want the easiest way possible, even if it means sacrificing morals, ethics, or values.

It isn't supposed to be like that.

I would love to be able to post solely on technical topics. But when there's such an offensive odor in the room, you really have to address that odor first before you can proceed with other things without that rancid smell affecting everything else.
