>July 15, 2010 --- The Microsoft Developer Tools division announced the release of Visual FoxPro 12 this week. VFP12 includes most of the features of the new Visual Behemoth 12 development suite, including:

>IntelliNonsense: VFP12 detects invalid command lines as they are typed and verbally berates you about them.
>OOPS Menus: In a move away from older menu styles towards toolbars, an "Ooops, you have a menu" compile-time warning is available (via a SET STRICTMENU setting).
>OOPS Reports: When MSN Corp. bought out Crystal Software two years ago, Crystal Reports became the MSN Universal Report Writer. Therefore, if VFP detects a native report at compile-time, an "Ooops, you have a report" warning is shown. Controlled via a SET STRICTREPORT setting, of course.
>Request Window: In order to accomodate the rapid changing of system DLLs and other resources that may cause programs and commands to fail, the Command Window has been replaced with the Request Window. Developer's type commands that they request be run. Some work, some won't.

>VFP 12 is available in a non-competitive upgrade version, an Enterprise edition, and a Voyager edition (your apps are hopelessly lost in space and will take a lifetime to debug).

Also available for download (20GB) by registered users is the Wishlist Entry Immediate Response Director (WEIRD). WEIRD is a HyperActiveX control that hooks into the MTCS (MSN Thought Command System) and activiates whenever the developer wishes for a feature. Upon activation WEIRD then records everything in the mind of the developer and transmits it to MSN's artificial intelligence web sever which responds within seconds by wiping all the developers thoughts that led up the wish.
