My son is in the 8th grade. In one of his classes, they each made pumpkin pies to bring home. So, for the first time we had an untested-by-known recipe pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.

It was good. Crust was a little variable, but the pumpkin pie filling was as good as any we've had. And in our house, Cool Whip is at least as high as the pie, and running over the sides. :-)

Wound up working Thursday and Saturday on the project with my dad. Still need to go back later today (Sunday) to clean up. We replaced three industrial compressor pumps on their air system. Working 20 feet off the ground at times, having to braze in copper pipe to mate compressor pump to the tanks. Quite the project. Very rewarding when completed. A lot of aches and pains on this aging body. :-)
