Hi everybody,

I'd like to mask the password text in my HTML. I tried using input type="password" but found some weird effects when I try that.

1. The dot appears about 200 times instead of the actual length of the password.

2. If I leave both User and password fields blank, for some unknown reason User gets the application User Name and password appears that User's password even though autocomplete is set to off.

Is there a way to avoid this behavior or some other better way to mask the password in HTML?

We also have jquery.maskedinput.js in our scripts but there is no example in the application of using it, so I don't know what should I do to mask my password field.
