>Walter, my inquiry to Microsoft was for lawful owners of VFP9 in the U.S., if it was legal for them to download and use Chen's products.
Sorry for butting in again. But in part I agree with you and your concerns.
My reluctancy is with my customers. By applying Chen's enhancements and bug fixes, I am obligating my customers to do the same. They may have problems with it. They may see it as a violation of the EULA. They may even have a problem with it coming from China (with is a hot subject lately.) The difference is the laws between our countries may raise concerns with my customers. With that said, I have elected not to use Chen's product for production. When it was first introduced, I ask if it could be installed without effecting the existing VFP9. The response I saw were giving the impression that could not. I have played with it in VM, but not in my real development environment. If it ever is shown that it is legal without any reservations, I would be glad to use it in production.
I hope you hear something from MS, one way or another.
