I'm against the *misuse* of SQL Server as a panacea. In the long run, SQL Server looks good to integrate potentially differing product lines. We're not there yet, and won't be for some time.

My three action items when building this app:

1) Performance.
2) Performance.
3) Performance.

I'm concerned about items 1 - 3<s>.
