Walter is, as always, right. VFP has no future only because of Rick. Right now four top corporate MS lawyers are on the plane to China to stop Chen from continuing his work (I am sure that these lawyers will have no problem finding a very smart developer named Chen in China). So, Rick caused it.
The average age of VFP developer is 60 years old. But that would be changed since thousands of young developers are eager to learn the VFP and take over supporting and enhancing the legacy VFP programs. The only thing that holds them back is fear that Chen’s product would be suspended and therefore VFP has no future.
