To invoke a more gut reaction, imagine somebody giving your child one unexploded firework dud and few wet matches.
Also making diminishing remarks on her and the dangerous things used in family, hoping others would shun her .
Then tries to sell that as a public service to educate about firework safety - without checking with you in advance if your handling of fireworks is safe.

Lucky result is nothing bad happens.
