JR, in fairness, I did catch Rick's drift that the vow only dealt with the "other" sub-thread.

At least the "I had my fingers crossed when I promised that" defense wasn't used - I would have felt compelled to test that theory by starting a new "The fuss about the fuss with the bug fix" thread, just to see... :)
