Ouch, a blast from the past. We had a product Adži Šio (aji shio) containing the secret ingredient called "ajinomoto grutamata" (probably japanised glutaminate) which was described as "a benobled salt" ("oplemeniti" is hard to translate, because 'pleme' means tribe, 'plemić' means a nobleman, 'plemenit' means morally noble... too densely packed), but actually was salt + MSG. "Goes into anything but cakes!" was the accent in the advertising. Those selfmanaging workers knew their market :).
