>>A question to you and anyone else: can anyone tell me of a 100% bug free, VFP-like, extensive IDE and development language, with built in client/server database capable of building advanced applications? if not bug free then one where the vendor will provide free support and patches for urgent show-stopping issues. I would be interested to hear of it. Certainly VFP9 does not come close to satisfying these criteria.

Rick, dont get me wrong, I'm sure there are many fantastic and powerful IDE and development tools out there, .Net included. It is not WinDev or nothing. It's a case of if a VFP developer is looking for another platform, which is being maintained and enhanced regularly, and wants to have very similar functionality and features and a way of building apps like VFP, minimizing their learning curve, then WinDev is probably a worthy option to check out.
