Many years ago I attended a meeting/presentation on Visual Objects (next generation of Clipper). Someone in the audience asked a question, "can you guarantee that there are no bugs in the compiler?", to which the presenter said,
"No. But I can guarantee that there are."
This brought up a good laugh.
