Hi Jess,
>And we do not priced our products as big as you do.
OK, how many hours went into analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, bug fixing, management, meetings?
In my experience these times add up significantly. Assume one developer costs the company $50/hour, including not only taxes and the actual payment to the developer, but also software, office, holidays, etc. then an one-day meeting of ten developers costs already $4000, one month each developer costs about $8500. If only one developer developed the entire framework, including all the aspects above, the development in one year is about $100,000.
Usually the development takes several month involving several persons at the same time. So $100,000 is not too high as a figure for a framework, especially if it's the first framework someone develops. When JimB made it in less it only indicates that he is quite efficient and knowledgable.
