Well I would have said go to the next German DevCon because we long time shared VFP with XBase++. But this is no longer true.
I have no deeper insights to the lang, but the folks where nice ones. If you like to go multiplatform, XBase++ might not be the best idea for all I know.
I think every lang has is odds, so basically I would primary go for the price / royality - try Servoy for a start, that's odd.
