Dear All
A few days ago I announced the development of XMLSecurity, a set of classes for XML signing and encrypting using VFP (Message #
1664230).
The first purpose of the announcement was to request for tests, but I realize that the requirement for the installation or availability of Chilkat, a commercial product, might be a deterrent factor that could push away those at least would be willing to have a try in running the examples.
So I decided to start to develop an OpenSSL alternative to the class that provides hashing and encryption by interfacing with Chilkat's ActiveX. The class is now public at the same GitHub address, and the only external resource it requires is the libcrypto.dll that is part of the OpenSSL suite.
In an ideal setup, the interface to the OpenSSL might be supplied by a cryptographic VFP library, instead of having to go a bit low-level to operate the OpenSSL DLL. On the other hand, the way the class uses the libcrypto.dll may give some ideas to someone willing to create such a library.
