I downloaded VFP6RT.EXE from MS last night because it was supposed to be able to install the fox run-time files necessary to run an Active Document Application.

The file expanded to vfp6rt.htm & vfp6rt.cab
The path in the vfp6rt.htm file was inappropriate so I just changed it to reflect my own situation and FTPed the stuff to my test web site.

When I ran vfp6rt.htm I got an empty browser window with the statement "Checking for Visual FoxPro Runtime files..."

Success, I thought...I smile quickly diminished as I realized that the files were not being transfered. I thought nothing was happening. On a ctrl-alt-del I noticed the VFP6RUN was loaded and (not responding), neither was my browser (IE4).

Is this the best way to get a client to install these files or am I better off emailing them?

Thanx,
