Trump identified this as a drain on federal coffers, so he capped the amount that could be deducted at $10K. What did the wealthy coasters do- did they celebrate the virtue of now paying for themselves the high state taxes they had supported? No, we both know what they did: they jiggled their affairs and expatriated wealth to avoid the high state taxes, leaving CA with a huge deficit. Woe betide any Democrat who proposes higher federal taxes that can't be similarly wriggled and jiggled out of.

>>>Note what the California deficit was when the Republicans controlled the state -- and how it disappeared when they elected democrats top to bottom throughout the state. Everyone was saying if you raised the taxes on the rich in California that they would all move to other states -- ya know cause what does LA have to offer that you can't find in Boise Idaho? lol lol lol -- they did not leave and bye bye deficit.

Seeing how Miami is in FL you'd think Marco Rubio would actually care about it -- but nope -- just another republican douche. See what it's like 12 years from now there (feel free to bookmark this post and put a reminder on your calendar).

I hope we are both around to settle this in 2031.
You must believe headlines like this from a Miami TV station:
Is South Florida Doomed By Sea-Level Rise? Experts Say No. In Fact, They're Optimistic ( I thought this was based on science- but I guess if science doesn't match the narrative then "experts" don't count.
Anyway, I took the time to lookup what the experts said- NOAA and this is what they said:
"Global sea level has been rising over the past century, and the rate has increased in recent decades. In 2014, global sea level was 2.6 inches above the 1993 average—the highest annual average in the satellite record (1993-present). Sea level continues to rise at a rate of about one-eighth of an inch per year."
Let me see 1/8th inch per year by my limited public school math comes to about 1 foot in 100 years or 1,5 inches in 12 years. I'm not really worried.

As for the great fiscal state of CA - taxed to high hell, CA ranks 42nd among the states well behind Florida #4 and Tennessee #3 - no state income tax.
