>>>Well, I should know this one...

>>>Sometimes when I Compile a VCX, Index a table, or something, I see the build-in progress bar, other times not. I recently find a time I would like the Progress bar to be displayed when lengthy process is occurring, but can not seem to find the correct settings to make it visible. Does anyone know the conditions (SET statements, etc) when the progress bar appears.

>Yes, I do find them interesting, but it is not what I am looking for. Native to FoxPro is a built in progress bar that happens when long indexing (and other long processes) occur. I am trying to determine which SET statements must be either On or Off for the progress bar to be displayed. I have toggled the SET TALK and SET STATUS BAR, and few others, but can't seem to get the progress bar to appear on demand. I realize that it will only appear after a predetermine time has elapsed, but what are the setting to control it?
I believe it is SET NOTIFY ON
