>>>You won't see me wearing a MAGA hat or even an Ayn Rand hat. Other than t-shirts of my favorite sports teams, you'll never guess anything from me by my attire (JB once said I dress kind of like a fisherman)

>In the democratic USA, the truth is that she- and he- should be allowed to dress as they please without risking attack. Some people may haven gotten away with their antisocial antics for so long that it's accepted as almost normal, but I suspect they're about to be called on it.

I knew the "whether the woman was asking for it by wearing skimpy clothing" topic would come up sooner or later.

I agree, it's a free country and people should be allowed to dress as they please. Having said that, there's such a think as judgment. As I often tell my daughter, while you "can" do something, there's an argument about whether you "should" and how much it means to you.

Wearing a MAGA hat is constitutionally protected, and anyone who initiates physical force should be punished according to the law...end of story.

Having said that, if I want to wear a MAGA hat and walk across the campus of Oberlin University, and wind up getting my teeth bashed in, I should stop and think about whether it was really worth it. It might even be legal for me to (hypothetically) run up to a bunch of people supporting Planned Parenthood and call them the 'c' word....but given that I might wind up in traction afterwards...you see my point.

This is the problem I have with some (not all, but some) of Trump's supporters. I get part of where they are coming from. And you know that I am not a liberal. But sometimes Trump needs to reintroduce his brain to his mouth, because too often he talks out his ass. It makes holding serious conservative values almost untenable. And that's my problem with the Covington-types of the world. WaPo doesn't know how to accurately report the story, and it just galvanizes both sides based on their tactics. I'm sick of it.
