We use Visual Extend's framework. I don't have any experience with other frameworks, so I cannot talk on the relative merits.
Things I like about it: good handling of multi-user confilicts, a rich library of form classes, MS Office objects, incremental searching on all grids, double-click sorting of grids.
Things I don't like: lack of comments in the code, poor handling of binding object properties to controls.
They've just come out with a release for VFP 6.0 that I've heard is good.
