I am not in vfp when I run the exe. Really what I am saying is that I can create programs that run when in vfp but will not run as executable. I read somewhere that when you are designing in vfp then there is a sort of automatic read events. As soon as I build an executable with just the lines above and run it independant of vfp I get the results as described.
