Thank you. I think there is a difference between a business insurance and a liability insurance. I was told that liability insurance is very expensive (pretty much what Michel said). The business insurance (as far as I understand) does not cover liability but "something else." You would need to read the entire policy (many pages) in order to understand the "something else." For example, if a client visits your office and falls down and break his/her leg, the business insurance will cover the expenses (up to the limit). But if the software code causes the client to lose money or production or some other way, the business insurance does not cover it.

For example, for years I have been paying business insurance of about $500 to $600 a year. But I don't go to the customers and they do not come to my home office. Everything is done over the phone/online meetings.
This is why I am thinking that the business insurance is not really necessary for me.
