There was plenty of that too- most of NZ came together to support the Muslim community and affected families.

Submerged in the rhetoric is that current government apparently relaxed firearm licensing last year, allowing online registration that used to involve local police interviews of you and your referees. Rumour sayeth that the Australian terrorist had no local referees, supplying members of overseas forums instead. Local cops would have red flagged that. Waiting to see if this is just another "russian collusion" hoax or whether this one has teeth.
