This happens too often. So, I doubt this could be an error done at the very last second before closing Word. It could be related when I open a document from Microsoft Outlook changing the last saved setting in regards to that, especially if the document from the email has the same name as the one on my disk.

I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016. I believe this is the latest version but the online one. I have seen this behavior since a few versions. So, I am not sure if this would be a bug or something that doesn't work really well when opening Word document from another Office environment.
