Hi Al,

I am aware of your 5 and 10% rule - but uncertain if it applies to the whole physical disc or the partition level.
Argument for partition level is that most of the data is static and only the empty area is used for R/W.
Argument for disc level is that remapping damaged clusters should be done at disc level, as it is very low level operation.
On HD arguments were in favor of many partitions (ease of backup, multiboot, security if not mounted...), on SSD I am uncertain.
Using whole disc does not fragment unused areas, so circumvents low percentages sometimes creeping up on a single partition.

Thoughts ?
