Hi Jayesh.

I am just learning VB6 after working with VFP since its inception. I haven't gotten into the database aspects yet (so I am a bit off topic), but here are my impressions of VB from a VFP perspective so far...

Good Things in VB
- easy and useful application wizard
- menu builder
- fast, light code
- screen preview window in design mode
- wizard to incorporate browser into an app
- ability to use VB as a CGI language easily
- intellisense in code editor
- all code snippets in one place
- ability to display properties as categorized or alphabetized
- properties are (apparently) more standard for Visual Studio
- standardized design tools (form design, report designer)(Visual Studio)
Bad Things in VB
- no ability to run code interactively (like the VFP command window)

So far it has been very positive experience. I will report back when I get into data manipulation. I appears that VB will be an important tool in my repetoire.
