Hi, gang...

A very strange question to ask.

My shop wants to buy VS Enterprise 6.0. I've seen Academic versions at trade shows for about $299. Since I can't seem to find it locally (I'm in the Allentown PA area), I figured we'd have to order it for close to $1,000.

Today at a trade show in Harrisburg, I saw a copy VS Enterprise 6.0 for $379. Unlike other copies I've seen, I saw no evidence (based on packaging) of it being an academic version, but find it hard to believe that a product that goes for close to $1,000 could possibly go for $379 at ANY trade show. Obviously, I can't open it up and check without buying. The man at the booth didn't have any idea whether it was actually the academic version inside.

If I knew for a fact it were the real McCoy, I'd buy it...otherwise, I'll just bite the bullet and order.

Anybody have any similar experiences or comments?

TIA,
Kevin
